Background and Objective: The present study aims to demonstrate the role of the Quran in healing both spiritual and physical illnesses by examining its healing power from the perspectives of reason, Quranic verses, narrations, as well as empirical evidence and medical findings. The research primarily focuses on proving the possibility of the Quran’s healing for physical illnesses.Method: This study employs a descriptive-analytical approach, first examining the “healing verses” in the Quran and the viewpoints of commentators, and then discussing and analyzing narrations, empirical evidence, and medical findings regarding the Quran’s healing of physical illnesses. Results: The healing power of the Quran is demonstrable for both the soul and the body. However, this does not imply the abandonment of material means and medical treatments. Rather, for treating illnesses, one must utilize both apparent means and spiritual resources such as prayer and the Quran. Faith in God, divine teachings, and belief in the Quran’s healing power play a significant role. Therefore, miraculous physical healing is not a universal phenomenon easily accessible to all, though the Quran’s impact on providing comfort and alleviating pain is achievable for the general public. Conclusion: The primary mission of the Quran is to guide humanity and treat its ideological and moral ailments. However, the Quran’s healing of physical illnesses is also rationally possible and supported by certain Quranic verses, narrations, and the experiences of believers. Clinical medical studies have, in some cases, confirmed its effectiveness in providing comfort and pain relief.
